Learn to catch the bus!

Experiencing catching the bus in college can be a pretty big adjustment. Your coming from home most of you have your own vehicle so you think to yourself; "Whats catching the bus"? If you didn't think that way I sure did. Here's some tips to help you as a freshmen to be more open to catch the bus at your university.

1. Don't act like your too good for the bus, because when its sweaty hot or frost bite cold it will become your bestfriend. Believe it or not!

2. Always make your way to bus stop 2-3 min. early. Buses can arrive late, or early just make sure your there.

3. Why get there early? BECAUSE THE BUS WILL LEAVE YOU! No matter the time they get there they will pull off at that time they are on a timed schedule.

4. Make sure your aware of the route your taking so there isn't any confusion once your on the bus.

5. Buses do not run on the weekend after 9pm so DO NOT depend on a ride back from your destination Friday-Saturday you will be walking.

  3. Thanks for the tips! After getting a parking ticket and realizing I can't park at the college of health and human services, I plan on taking the bus in the future. The parking lots are too far from the building so I need to get acquainted to the bus schedule. I'm really not trying to get any more tickets.

  4. Thanks for the tips. I just transferred into a class at the College of Health and Human Services. It is a struggle. I realized after I thought I missed the bus that the map of the buses is my friend. I figured out that in order to make it on time I needed to run. Luckily I made it, but it was a close call. Trust me I will be arriving earlier next time.

  5. I haven't used the bus yet, but it is so useful to know to get there a little early. I would of got there on time! I am sick of the hills so once it gets cold I am probably going to use them because I am nervous I will fall on ice.
